Marc J. Becker represents a wide range of clients in commercial leasing, development, sales, acquisitions and financing transactions. His diverse client base includes individual developers, nonprofit organizations, real estate investment trusts, co-op and condo boards and locally, regionally, nationally and internationally recognized real estate companies. His commercial leasing background includes mall and shopping center leasing, office leasing, warehouse and garage leasing, and mixed-use developments in Manhattan, the outer boroughs and beyond.
Marc joined Goldfarb & Fleece in 1985 and became a partner in 1993. Prior to joining Goldfarb & Fleece, he was a litigation associate at Martin Clearwater & Bell in Manhattan.
He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Bar Association (member, real estate section), and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Marc has lectured and led roundtable discussions at the national law conference of the International Council of Shopping Centers and at Columbia Business School. He spent two years as a faculty member of the School of Continuing Education at New York University and from 1991 to 2003 was a certified leader for the New York City Inner City Outings Organization, a Sierra Club community outreach program that provides opportunities for inner-city youths to explore the beauty of the natural world. He presently serves as legal coordinator for the organization. Marc served on the board of directors of the North Stamford Association from 2005 to 2010 and presently serves on the Development Committee of the Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford, Connecticut.
Marc has been selected as one of New York's "Super Lawyers" each year since 2006 and his rating by Martindale-Hubbell consistently remains at AV Preeminent 5.0 out of 5.
While attending Boston University School of Law, Marc was an editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine.
Marc and his wife live in Stamford, Connecticut, with their two children.
