Spencer K. Stein practices commercial real estate law, with an emphasis on office and retail leasing. Spencer has represented major developers and Fortune 500 companies in office and retail transactions throughout the country, including corporate headquarters leases, national data and telecommunication center leases, "big box" and "mall shop" leases, and New York City flagship stores and landmark location leases. He has represented both landlords and tenants in these types of leasing transactions. In addition, his commercial leasing background includes warehouse and garage leasing and net leases.
Spencer recently represented Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. in the negotiation of the lease for its international corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, and the lease for its international data, telecommunications and reservations center in Braintree, Massachusetts. He also represents UBS Financial Services Inc. and its affiliates in the negotiation of their office leases throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Spencer's landlord work includes representing Benenson Capital Partners, Forest City Ratner Companies, Africa Israel, Rudin Management Co., Muss and Vornado Realty Trust.
Spencer joined Goldfarb & Fleece 2003 and became a partner in 2008. Prior to joining Goldfarb & Fleece, he was an associate with the real estate group at Davis & Gilbert, LLP.
